Anchor Up ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal-finance planning app for debt payoff and retirement projections, operated by CodeLime LLC. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, how it is stored, and the choices you have. We built Anchor Up to keep your financial data private: we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google. From your chosen provider we receive a unique user ID and, depending on the provider and your settings, your name, email address, and profile photo. We use this only to create and secure your account. If you use Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we only ever receive the relay address.
Anchor Up stores the planning data you choose to add, which may include:
If you choose to connect a bank or brokerage, we use trusted third-party aggregators — Plaid (banks / debts) and SnapTrade (investments) — to import account names and balances. You enter your bank credentials directly with the aggregator; Anchor Up never sees or stores your bank username or password. We store only the access tokens needed to refresh balances, and those tokens are held server-side. You can disconnect a linked account at any time from within the app.
Plaid and SnapTrade collect and handle your account data under their own privacy policies. Please review Plaid's End User Privacy Policy and SnapTrade's Privacy Policy.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate, app-level usage (for example, which screens are opened) so we can improve the app. This may include a mobile advertising identifier and basic device/usage signals. This data is not linked to your financial records and is not used to advertise to you.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) on Google Cloud infrastructure. Access is restricted by security rules so that only members of your household can read or write your household's data. We protect against automated abuse with Firebase App Check.
We share data only with the service providers that make the app work:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase / Google Cloud | Authentication, database, hosting, analytics |
| Plaid | Connecting bank / debt accounts (optional) |
| SnapTrade | Connecting investment accounts (optional) |
| Apple / Google | Sign-in identity providers |
We may disclose information if required by law. We do not otherwise share your personal or financial data with third parties.
Anchor Up is built for households. When you create or join a household (using a household code), every member of that household can view and edit the household's shared financial data. Only share your household code with people you trust. You can leave a household at any time from Settings.
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile and disconnects any linked banks. If you are the only remaining member of your household, all of that household's financial data is permanently deleted as well. Account deletion cannot be undone.
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), server-enforced access rules, and App Check attestation. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
Anchor Up is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information you may enter about dependents (for college planning) is provided by you, the account holder, for planning purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA (including the right to access, correct, or delete your data). Contact us to exercise these rights.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated in-app.
